i am a little confused with regard to the news coming out of whyalla re arrium.
it looks like it has become a political consideration on both the state and federal levels.
tom koutsantonis is receiving praise for being pro-active. arrium looks like it may get some kind of tax funded bailout. the state and federal govts look like they want to prop up a huge loss making venture. the state and federal govts have blurred the lines between business and politics when it comes to arrium possibly.
the four mile uranium mine was and still is a winner in every operational and economic aspect and the alliance stake was decimated due to what i consider to be unnecessary stockpiling by our then majority partner.
where was the sate and federal govts when alliance was looking for some possible intervention?
am i missing something?
