Thwhack, the problem is they are not willing to work hard enough to make the company a serious player in the market. They don't want to invest in staff, equipment, R&D time and aggressive sales strategies to make their products competitive.
As long as they keep their toe in the water they can keep getting their high salaries, take business trips, cruise along and not have to do too much. Unfortunately the shareholders keep footing the bill and punting their hard-earned in hopes of a turn around.
