re: asx announcement on results due real soon not bad, just like BRW i too expected at least $200m in sales revenue

so with a full years contribution from ah plant in the 06/07 period and given the strong forward outlook in the infrastructure sector i'll be anticipating npat of at least $20m

thus reinforcing that NHR will be one of the many beneficiaries of the explosion in infrastructure spend in the coming years ahead by the state and fed govts provided they come good with delivering on the planned expenditures outlined in the budgets last handed down

under nlx control ah plant achieved npat of around $5m

National Hire books $17.1m FY net profit
    15/08/2006 By: Zachary Corones

National Hire Group Limited (NHR) today reported a net profit after tax of $17.1 million on revenue of $233.4 million for the year ended 30 June 2006. Earnings per share were reported as 14.3c, up from 13.8c this time last year.

National Hire said the results include a full year contribution from the Allight Holdings Pty Limited and The Cat Rental Store WA acquisitions, and a half-year contribution from AH Plant Hire.

“The successful integration of these major acquisitions has delivered the platform for considerable growth in FY2006,” the company said.

The company highlighted that group revenue of $233.4 million for the 2006 fiscal year increased 100% over the previous year. National Hire said revenue growth was driven by the major acquisitions and the expanded rental fleet.

National said that while full year revenue was slightly below their expectations, primarily as a result of the softening of the New South Wales and Victorian residential construction markets, group revenues grew by 8% in the second half before taking account of AH Plant Hire revenues.

National also said that on a divisional basis, Rental Services revenues increased by 116% to $174.5 million and Capital Sales revenues increased by 70% to $58.6 million.

The company said they were able to extract higher operating margins through strong cost control and improved operating efficiencies. Group earnings before depreciation, interest and tax grew strongly to $72.0 million, a 129% increase over the previous year, the company added.

A final fully franked dividend of 4c per share has been declared, bringing the total dividend declared for the 2006 finaicial year to 7c per share fully franked.
