Reading the last years announcements , presentations and listening to investor calls it becomes clear why alot of analyst get it wrong.
The number of questions that were asked by analysts in the jan investor call that had already been answered in previous calls or market announcements are amazing. These guys cover a number of stocks and often don't bother with deep research, and can't be stuffed updating figures and valuations based on moving variables, they simply wait for the next half yealry. This is why SP often strongly responds up or down to news that should have already been known .
This gives us an advantage to do a deep dive and try to front run the earnings changes or analysts views. Mark my words , if MGX makes a move on a half decent resource project these some guys and girls will be pumping out valuations of 40-50c
MGX is a simple and transparent company to track earnings and value the business. This is why I am confident it's a great investment opportunity on a risk adjusted basis. It probably has one the best risk return profiles on the market
No certainties of course but I am very comfortable with this investment. Funnily if China craps out, the IO business may need to be closed down but it makes assets for purchase with cash so much cheaper . If the reverse happens and China stabilises or picks up , the IO will pick up with it and MGX wins again . They are hedged in a way.
Anyways I predict a 21-22 close tomorrow .. Let's see how we go
