Agree with Fairfax Media's Greg Hywood that "Political debate 10 years behind industry needs".

Am sympathetic towards FXJ's journalists and other staff, facing more employment reduction cuts, with considerable respect for their reporting and editorial policies, particularly in areas of business related news.

Currently will not be surprised IF it takes another decade before impact from the systemic changes flows far enough through all the media empires, so the waves of change settle...

To date, Fairfax seems to be adapting well to remain active and alive, while pain still being felt... the competing media groups need speak clearer to all their readers about changes believed needed from government, without it sounding like begging...
