There's no money to be made by powerful multi-national pharmaceutical companies, or indeed the whole medical/cancer complex, by recommending natural therapies. They can't patent natural products so clinical studies are focused on patentable synthetic versions of natural substances (which invariably assimilate easier so are more effective and less harmful to the body while also being less expensive than the drugs). Hence a lot more money is spent by big pharma on trying to discredit natural therapies - the greatest threat to their empire - than is spent by independent studies on showing their safety and efficacy. Despite these institutional and systemic barriers, the truth is emerging.
