Different types of Chart analysis, apart from Wyckoff/VSA.


There is what would probably be the most common chart analysis, which redbacka does on the XJO thread, which looks at candlestick patterns and geometric patterns, using candlestick charts, and using indicators like MACD RSI etc.. redbacka is very experienced at this type of analysis, and understands and uses a myriad of different indicators in conjunction to the chart.

There is also similar analysis, but using different charts like ichimoku, point and figure, renko.........

Then there is Elliott Wave analysis, or Gann analysis....you will find some EW on the XMD thread by Orwell.

Try Googling some of these for more info, investopedia is a good guide for analysis here.

Just get a brief overview of these different types of analysis, and see if one or another makes better sense to you.

But whatever you choose, give it enough time to learn it properly.
