If you want a trading option on oil ... trade oil. I don't believe AKK is a good "option" on oil price because
they don't produce much and while a gusher will spike their production its net income that matters.

IMO it would be a producer with diversification (oil, gas, LNG, local & international mkts) that would offer best optionality to oil price - but even they are continually hammered (and now the banks that lend to them are getting hammered).
