@pilsner I like discussions about timing and forecasting. It makes me want to post some charts.

Here's a road map....an echo from the past....of the SPI index so call it the XJO. It's based on the premis that chart patterns repeat on all time frames right down to intra day stuff, and on Gann's 1 day is 1 week is 1 month is 1 year. It's also tied in with the 20 year cycle.

so taking 1 week in the 1980's as being equal to 1 month now......

First chart is SPI during the 1980's viewed as a weekly with the current decade overlaid, years in black, for reference

Second chart is SPI the current decade viewed as a monthly with the years highlighted in black

This road map suggests a grind down into 2021, pretty extreme I know. I don't know if the index keeps following this or not but it's tracked it pretty well for the past 13 years. What is interesting for me is that I have an XJO cycle which has a major turn date in 2021 which lines up with above, but I have some other stuff which suggests 18 months of bullishness from the end of this year, it's only time though and doesn't indicate if we make new high's or not. Have to let price do the talking.

Cheers for sharing your stuff pilsner
