I agree with you! I grew up in the same era. We would drink coke & other soft drinks regularly. I would look forward to a tall drink of coke with ice cubes after a long, hot& harrowing sports afternoon at school. All of these drinks were in our canteens at school, and lots of children bought them. We were all healthy, and skinny as rakes, as we were always on the go.
