I probably need to elaborate a bit more on some of those comments above GF,
News and announcements are really important, one of the first things Tom Williams (inventor of VSA, and former Syndicate Trader) talks about, is that in selecting a stock to 'work over', the professional traders first look for stocks with good fundamental prospects, or at least stocks with a good future news flow.
The professionals need this so as to generate some serious demand to sell into at a later date in the future.
So about that NWZ announcement on Friday....what I meant was, that I had not read it myself (still haven't), and didn't know if it was good, bad or indifferent.

I think is both market cap, and daily volume traded, that are important.
There is no reason why you cannot use VSA/Wyckoff analysis on the smaller market cap or less liquid stocks, it is just that you need to be prepared for more surprises (both good and bad), compared to big liquid markets. Plenty of people successfully use VSA/Wyckoff in the small and micro caps arena, so don't be completely put off if that is the pond in which you like to fish.
All charts are potential VSA/Wyckoff candidates.
Tom used to say that if you can get the data, anything can be charted using this analysis......Babies Born, Car Crashes, Unemployment...pretty much anything (so long as you can get decent accurate data), It is all just chart reading in the end......
So yes IPL will be OK for analysis I'm sure.....I'll check it out later.
cheers
