Without wishing to get off topic here (& keeping this post in context with the post I am replying to) I TOTALLY disagree with your comment that: "Gumtree a good site".

I actually joined Gumtree this month & after editing an Ad on there today I was surprisingly locked out of my account.

After trying several times to sign back in & seeking remedy through the help features, I ended up contacting them because I was having no luck.

Whilst I found the reply timeline to be reasonable (1.5-2 hrs), I've received a reply advising me that my account was "restricted" and my "ads" (nb: I've only placed one (1) Ad) were deleted because those "Ads" were apparently "inappropriate" for the website ... which is absolute RUBBISH.

"I am afraid that your ads have been removed and your access restricted because they are inappropriate for the Gumtree site."

My (1 & only) Ad did not contain ANY inappropriate content & I was totally astounded by this reply.

I've asked if they could please elaborate further/provide me with additional information but I've received nothing ... so am now left with no ad & no account ............ so 'Crummy Gumtree' would be my slogan at present ...... !
