That would be because rent.com.au is targeting private landlords that don't want to go to real estate agents, private landlords make up 30% of the market. I think you need to do more research, to say that REA and domain have the market stitched up is an uneducated statement. Rent provide services that no one else does, so it is in a league of its own IMO.
