Remoteness also has it's advantages. No one bothers the operation. 240 kilometre truck transport by road from Cyclone to Forrest rail siding in 100 tonne loads. 1,100 kilometre rail transport from Forrest siding to Port Pirie in 3,000 tonne loads. By today's standards, that's not very remote.
