I can’t wait for a house to be run off the grid, might be a while to go totally off the grid however. Could the batteries be able to store power collected during off peak times and then use the battery power during peak periods? Surely a company producing these batteries should come up with and advertise some cost saving per year for a average household.

We are going to try and rig up a generator to a couple of old windmills lying around the farm to see if they still might have a use.

Power companies need to realise they are not very well liked by anyone at the moment, and are fed up with crazy price rises.
