Yes I had a property that ran off a gen set and batts for a couple of years before getting power and let me tell you it is expensive.
Ive had fairly extensive experience with batteries and charging and I know what it takes.
I had a read of Reflow's ZBM battery system and while they sound very interesting they are large. One batt weighs 250kg.

    2. The Redflow ZBM at a Glance
From a strictly electrical point of view, the ZBM battery presents very good
characteristics. In its base configuration, addressed as ZBM, it is a 210Ah, 48V nominal
battery (a nominal energy storage and delivery capacity of 8kWh at a typical roundtrip
efficiency of 80%), with a voltage ranged between 36V and 57V.

Sounds like a great battery to me. But have a look at the amp hours. 210ah which is around normal for a good deep cycle batt.
But that means if you want to use lets say 3800amps per hour then you are going to have a lot of them at 250kg each.
Could not find a price on them. They are very high tech though and can plug into an existing solar system.

My guess is though they are way expensive, much more than a normal batt.

They do sound very interesting though and far better than a normal batt.
