As much as that is true, and I acknowledge Gerry is no saint, I am willing to be on this bus on the basis that the HVN board and culture is the lesser evil, when compared to the average ASX listed large corporation.

For me, Gerry is no corporate lemming (he thinks for himself) and he generally says what he thinks (rather than having the usual polished fork tongue). And I would posit that he has more integrity than what may appear. He's no box ticker. And what's more, he's a stingy bustard who's interests are aligned with all shareholders in a more meaningful way than what governance guidelines might dictate.

So, I'm willing to cut him some slack.
