Your sentiments are very much aligned with my own. I too have a buy and hold bent. But ultimately, rationality must rule. The ultimate aim, I think you'll agree, is to get more value than you pay for.

The beauty of buying a strong business, is that the value that you buy will frequently be much greater than is commonly appreciated by the market, as the realisation of that value takes time.

But everything, I believe, has its price.

If hard assets, or better yet, cash, are clearly on offer, at less than the market price, why would you say no? If it was good enough for Ben Graham, it's good enough for me.

I'm yet to form my opinion on Bol. I am grateful, however, that we have posters like @madamswer, that can make claims that I can place some weight on. But the decision pull the trigger, or not, will be mine.
