It probably deserves a discussion thread of its own but your statement that "even if BOL does indeed have no future, there may still be an investment premise" really interests me, as I quite often look at a company and think the company is broken but there is money to be made, more in trading it than investing in it. But having a buy and hold mentality I stick to what I know, I like buying companies with a broken share price as opposed to a broken company. I am however finding it harder to ignore such trading opportunities.

Anyway it's good too see Madam step away from the MSB circus briefly. It reminds me of when I thought I knew what I was doing and dabbled in gold stocks. When I realised I didnt know how the gold price works and questioned if anyone else in the investing world did, all hell broke loose. Goldbugs and Biotech supporters are very similar in ways.
