The news keeps getting better for Robert Coghill, the former executive chairman of mining minnow Indochine Ltd.
Indochine has collapsed into administration, which is why it was not legally represented in court during the September court case and lost to Coghill, who was awarded $US2.65 million in damages for breach of his employment contract.
The latest judgment from the Federal Court awarded Coghill another $US514,450 in "pre-judgment interest on damages", although the judgment determined the court had now power to make Indochine pay his costs.
Given the company is in administration, the issue of damages and costs might be academic in any case.
