Hi Chilloutman,
You are right and yes I did mention that firstly in my opinion only and any suggestion was conditional on that if the person was already considering increasing their holding.
We could have met at that time but I won't be in the country as my wife is giving birth and she's overseas currently so I will be out of Perth from 24th or else I would have loved to attend.
I think we should always promote healthy discourse and feedback to the management, which is our absolute right as shareholders. Too many people get caught up in trading and quick profits and forget the underlying objective of investment. We are here trying to bring a good technology to the market. In my opinion, it is important to vote with your bank account but moreso to provide constructive feedback to the management for our reasons why.
Beyond the profits I think if we are part of something which may bring meaningful change to the world and the environment which we all live in, any setbacks temporary or permanent are worthwhile. I think far too much focus these days is on profits, overwhelming displays of wealth, and materialistic consumption and the net result is that big unethical corporations get the most backup and people trying to do good things struggle.
Obviously in the long run this leads to the downfall of societies. If we look back throughout history, civilizations have risen and fallen based on their innovation and succumbing to greed or corruption and I would hope that as a whole, modern society should learn from lessons of the past.
I believe the Big Oil story is a great lesson, that Oil has done nothing good for the middle east, and really they are probably worse off now when they were before. Compare that with what Oil has done for Norway and the attitude Norwegians take toward investment and that should show us some kind of path forward.
Please note my above comments are philosophical in nature and are not meant to provoke racist or political conflict.
Some may say I am spruiking the company and I guess I am, only a fool would talk down their own investment due to some peer pressure. Hopefully we who have hard earned money to invest are more prudent and mature than that.
Cheers, my opinions only, DYOR and no harm meant at all.
