Seeing this, the capital raising certainly wasn't urgent, and surely management would prefer to raise higher than basically the 52 week low. I suspect there may be more to this trading halt, possibly an acquisition involved.

Agreed. A bit peculiar.
My best guess is that they are acquiring Sprooki. The acquisition of Sprooki by Stanfield (SFN) was recently terminated.
