Hi Propagandista and all,
I was just completing my proxy form for the KRM AGM and had a thought once again about shareholders rewarding a mediocre at best management team.
These days I feel that salaries of around $180,000.00 to $260,944.00 are more than adequate compensation for a group that has overseen such devastation in shareholder value.
Even is one staff member had single handed doubled the share price I feel 18,000,000 free shares would still be unreasonable. After all if these shares where the $1.00 value they should be; would we be happy to pay an $18,000,000 bonus I have my doubts. Does this guy think he’s heading up Macquarie’s or something?
To my fellow shareholders: Free Shares are not an incentive they are a free gift!
If you feel you have to give money away please do so to the homeless or other deserving causes. There is always the fund to fill Joe Hockey’s wardrobe with Italian suits before he heads off for his plumb position in Washington!
Out of the money options are the way to go to encourage the management to do more than one would expect of a director drawing $250,000.00 in wages, particularly given the mediocre efforts put in by them over recent months.
Another point don’t expect any good news over the next few weeks if this team struck 50M of 100g/t do you think you will be reading about it before the free issue share question is resolved (Please read defeated!)
A cushy well paid job in a cosy office in Perth with the occasional business / first class trip to Indonesia and writing constant apologetic reports and excuses for missed company set targets to shareholders is money for jam as far as I’m concerned.
Please don’t get me wrong I am all for trying to incentivise people for good effort; and once I see some concerted effort towards shareholder value I will be happy to consider suitable rewards.
Free shares just won’t do this!!! Mr Scott Huffadine how about 1M options convertible at $1.00 say by the end of December 2016 because if you can’t make that worthwhile I for one feel you are taking away a job from someone that could.
I have had more than my fair say on this matter and must admit that I’m disappointed it appears only two shareholder have a view on this important subject.
Cheers and very best regards: Andy
