Hanrahan, Just by fluke I was just running my eyes over then front page of HC to see if any latest ASX posts I read when I came across your Medicine post.
I also suffer from a blurry spot in the centre of my right eye and I can tell you that you have a condition called NAICON (Non Arteric Ischemic C? Optical Neuropathy).
You need to see a GP and get a referral to an omthomoligst immediately.
NAICON is a rare condition where the optic nerve located behind the eye ball has swollen and the blood flow thru millions of tiny veins has been blocked or damaged. The optic nerve sends the picture of what your eye is viewing to the brain. no one knows what causes NAICON but they think it may have something to do with your lifestyle ie high cholesterol, blood pressure etc.
I was diagonesed withNAICON in my right eye 2 years ago and the omthomoligst found I had very high pressure in back of my eyes (approx 24). I have had laser surgery in both eyes to reduce the selling and I now see my specialist once every six months.

Please do something about your condition now as it could send you totally blind in that eye.

Google NAICON and good luck Hanrahan
