Spot on. Olympic Dam - persistence and money and definitely luck! I hold shares in STA, formerly GUN, who have land at Mt Gunson, 140km down the road from Olympic Dam and in the same geological belt. A couple of small copper deposits have been identified and proven there and are subject to a JV at the moment. However it has been considered prospective for a whale copper deposit as per Olympic Dam and Parapateena, also same belt. Several million spent and many holes drilled by Xstrata on exploration and nothing large found and they've handed their exploration rights back.
It's a tough game - and still I get excited at new prospecting campaigns like Fowlers Bay!
