SHANGHAI, Oct. 19 (SMM) – Last week, nickel ore inventories at six major Chinese ports were 10.11 million tonnes, down 1.03 million tonnes or 9.25% from the level on Sept. 25, according to SMM data.
The drop at ports’ inventories, down 50,000 tonnes from the level on Oct. 9, is due largely to falling arrivals of shipments and pick-up by domestic NPI producers from late September to the holiday period
Last week, the Port of Tianjin, Lianyungang, and Yingkou each saw the arrival of one shipment, and other three ports reported no arrivals. No ships are expected to arrive this week. .
