Vice President, Sales
Buddy is looking for an energetic and talented Vice President of Sales to build a platform upon which we can grow a team of global sales representatives. The successful candidate will have passion, hunger, hustle, a drive for excellence, will command the respect of broader team and will have the leadership skills to grow, drive and motivate an emerging sales team.
As Buddy enters a period of considerable growth, you will be surrounded by a rapidly growing team of incredible individuals who together have the opportunity to “land grab” one of the most fertile technology spaces we’ve ever seen.
Responsibilities
• Set in place the infrastructure to build a world-class sales organization selling the Buddy Platform into the Global Fortune 5000
• Create a sales plan, build and drive target revenue & bookings numbers both domestically in the US and overseas
• Coordinate with marketing, PR and engineering to maximize the value of our customer engagements, while surprising and delighting our customers
• Organically discover opportunity, create new business and hunt for ways Buddy can deliver even greater value for our customers
• Establish thought leadership amongst our partners and customers via speaking engagements, panel appearances and other opportunities to be “visible”
• Install the sales processes needed within Buddy to make the company successful
• Take a leadership role in the company, working directly with the CTO and CEO.
Qualifications
• 10+ years of sales management experience
• You have personally interviewed and hired dozens (or more!) of sales people
• You have hired and directly led sales managers
• You have career history in sales, and have demonstrable personal experience as a top performer
• You have run a large sales office or region, and have had sales managers with teams report to you

• You have in-depth knowledge of sales principles and best practices in freemium, SaaS, inside sales, B2B and high-growth startup sales environments

• You have demonstrated an ability to lead and motivate distributed teams of successful sales professionals
•
• You have the ability to create and execute detailed sales and revenue generation plans for global markets.
