I love all this negativity by an extremely small few disgruntled followers of this company, so it seems you got burnt, and I am sorry for you but I have been a holder for 7 years now, I sold some at the top price and now I have been accumulating at what I consider bargain basement for the last 4 months.
I have made the effort to attend all the A.G.M.'s and read the reports, therefore while not being an expert in financial circles I think I have an understanding of the workings and what went wrong, the main problem is that the directors were honest about the bad batch of beer in the commissioning of new equipment and did not hide it as other brewers may have.

Admittedly directors selling large quantities of stock is a concern, I recognise that after working on building this company for years without any or minimal remuneration they may have felt it was time to take a profit.

I believe the directors are working in the interest of shareholders, the details in the last report did not just happen because one poster vented his ire here, it shows that hard yards taken are working.
Woolworth's, as a major shareholder exercised a large amount of pressure on the company and without their financial support the growth of the brewery would not have happened. Now due to Woolworth's own financial problems and the cutbacks in carrying/warehousing large amounts of stock and incentives by the traditional bigger brewers there has not been as much shelf space for Gage branded lines.
This may be a case of "all the eggs in one basket" because Woolies took everything that was produced and there was little left to ensure a reliable volume to other outlets, and you will never be able to buy Gage from the likes Coles owned liquor land and others because of the opposition Woolies connection.
I notice more outlets are stocking Gage, especially the small bars where it is gaining popularity as a craft beer.
No it won't increase in share price overnight but I believe in the longer term and have put my money where my mouth is.
    Woodie
