When you get your offer documents in the mail, it will explain it all in there. Usually you just pay for any extra shares you want, and if there are some available, you will get them (or a portion of them) otherwise you will get a refund.
The options should automatically appear in your account at some stage after the offer closes, if you have applied for shares in the offer.
