Having a read, it does look like the company is on track to be a meat producer, not just another "dig it up and ship it out" exporter.

The multiplier effect of what the company is doing is excellent and flow through effects for the local economy will add to GDP. That said, for shareholders to benefit from the spoils, ATO or others may need to acknowledge what the company is actually doing and pass back some of costs to the company. Building business that adds long term employment and long term exports is not to be sneezed at.

It does not take a wise person to just rip it down and sell it off as fast as possible. I believe that I heard a throwaway line that if all of the Chinese started eating beef at the same rate as Australians then the entire Australian cattle stocks would be gone in 19 days or so.

Building the size of the herd is a big driver to grow the boxed meat business. This will take some patience and time for investors.
