Tempo Australia (ASX:TPP) has been awarded a subcontract for the provision of temporary craft labour to the Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contractor on Chevron’s Gorgon Project on Barrow Island, Western Australia.
Tempo will provide skilled personnel to support the ME&I scope on a call-off basis and has the potential to create in excess of 100 new local jobs.
Gorgon is designed to produce 15.6 million tonnes of liquefied natural gas per annum. It also includes a domestic natural gas plant and a carbon dioxide injection project.
First cargo of LNG is expected to ship before the end of this year.
