Ask the average Aussie whether breast cancer or prostate cancer
kill the most Aussies every year and most will likely say Breast Cancer.
The facts, however, are different.
About 3300 die from prostate cancer while about 2700 die
of breast cancer annually in Aus.
This perception seems to be based on the saying that
more men die with prostate cancer than of it. while this
may be generally true it belies the seriousness of the risk .
Ask the average man what are prostate cancer staging
or Gleason score ratings or what has testosterone got to
do with it and you'll probably get a blank stare.
Perhaps some posters with prostate cancer or those with
medical knowledge on the subject could comment?
