Barneyw, no, actually you cannot, the original drilling announcement is something you can blame ASX disclosure rules for: it is not down to us in HC. It is obviously difficult in a thread of ORG, STO, SXY, BPT and DLS to talk about DLS at the exclusion of the other more favored (and larger) companies when DLS is not in the same league or union (if DLS is playing rugby league).
RDS has to decide what to do with its forthcoming stake in DLS. If RDS' TO bid is approved at great cost to RDS s'holders, we, RDS s'holders will own part of DLS (BG Group is part owner of DLS in BG Group's very fine set of accounts that as a holder I have read).
Unless RDS disposes of their DLS stake when the acquisition goes through, this would be far less than ideal part of the deal as it would not fit RDS' investment strategy.
As a RDS s'holder, I hope RDS find some way of liberating themselves from the DLS stake: sell it to SXY or STO or ORG or something IMHO but pls DYOR.
