The 3.14% increase in portfolio value as opposed to the decrease of 0.03% in the all ordinaries accumulation index indicates that they have got their house back in order & have put the unfortunate take over offers for stocks that had shorted behind them.

It is difficult to predict a take over offer for a stock like Toll when Toll was about to put out an expected bad report.
