Just write to the Treasurer (Minister responsible for the ACCC)
and voice a complaint in writing and indicate to him its come to jesus time:
do something about the big miners flooding the market or get out and
give someone else a go who will do something about it.
The public is sick and tired of Joe's excuses:
-no tax from Io due to the ass falling out of price
-can do nothing about multinationals using transfer pricing to rort the tax system
-cant do anything about company tax being pushed downward (1.5% planned drop on July 1st)
We know the problems; w just need the remedies and they are not curling Granny's pension.
Our 93 year old neighbour is financially stressed at present and she is now worried sick
that a further eroding of her pension will mean hardship.
Does this seem fair when companies like Apple & Google is paying less than
1% of their Aussie turnover in tax when the norm is 6%.
Our country has been built on the notion of a fair go and those multinationals
who think otherwise should go elsewhere to sponge off taxpayers.
They wouldn't dare rort the Chinese Tax System.
We are doing a free trade deal with China so we should include a mutual Tax discovery
system to discover what tax these corporations are paying in China and simply
index their Aussie tax to that.
given that multinational executives won't risk jail terms or execution for frauding
the Chinese Tax System, our access to their Chinese Tax returns would be very useful
indeed.
