Imagine if you own a business and you want to leverage technology to expose your products to the Chinese market.
You can either go it alone or use a service provider. In this instance some companies are choosing to use ecargo as their service provider; either picking and choosing elements in the overall end to end supply change, or taking the whole outsourced service. i.e. in a lot of instances it is not whether they are able to do it themselves - more can they do it themselves.
Doing your own e-commerce is rife with risks + you don't get the economies of scale from using a central provider such as ecargo. Many organisations have a go, and then realise they have to outsource as simply cannot do it or move with the times to remain competitive.
If you are investing in this business, it is with a view to getting a chunk of an ever growing market - and you are also buying it a lot cheaper than if you were to buy alibaba or amazon. Ofcourse there comes risk with the greater upside potential which you need to balance with diversification in less speculative stocks as well. At this point in time, the company has been transparent in its IPO documentation, has done what it said it would, has pulled together a good investor presentation, and its results demonstrate potential and it has lots of capital. Time will tell whether they deliver the financial results to build some momentum behind the SP.
Myer is struggling yes (like many retailers who are losing business to the online marketplace) - they realise they need to move more into the 'e' space, and need to make ecargo work. They certainly have a lot of relationships through Myer alone where there are huge synergies so you can expect the customer book to continue growing.
I am sure Singsong is waiting for any response on this company, and will have something to say although beware his comments because he does not hold any stock, and has made 30 posts against this company - and no posts against any other company. This is quite odd - appears some sort of obsession / agenda on his/her part.
