Ten Network Holdings Limited (ASX:TEN) has again responded to rising speculation surrounding a possible takeover.
The television broadcaster says it has established an independent board committee to consider a number of proposals it has received.
While Ten has not named the bidders media reports this week suggested Foxtel and Discovery Communications had made a new offer.
Ten says talks are continuing which may or may not result in a deal and the company has also cautioned in dealing its shares on the basis of speculation.
Ten Network Holdings reported a net loss of $163.46 million in the 2014 financial year.
