Welcome to Australian CleanTech
Cleantech incorporates the industries of the future: the growth of the sector will drive increases in jobs, investment and trade. Cleantech companies deliver both economic and environmental benefits and their growth will be driven by the fact that they offer more efficient, more profitable and more sustainable ways of doing business.
Australian CleanTech facilitates and delivers Australian Clean Technology investments on behalf of both investors and project proponents. In addition, Australian CleanTech provides services to Government agencies to help stimulate jobs, investment and trade in the Cleantech industry. To deliver these services Australian CleanTech uses its extensive Cleantech research database.
Australian CleanTech also provides access to CleanTech Network events around the country and Cleantech stock market indices in Australia and China.
Through a range of publications, articles and training, Australian CleanTech provides resources to help raise awareness in the sector and to provide the business case for transition. The videos below are from:
- A panel session in July 2014 as part of a CEDA Economics of Climate Change event
- An interview in March 2014 at a Cleantech investment conference in Singapore
- Speech at the Innovation Series lunch in Brisbane in September 2013
- An interview with the City of Melbourne in January 2015
Cleantech covers technologies and services that come under the categories of:
Cleantech products and services that have economic and environmental benefits. We define cleantech as:
- Resource efficiency
- Renewable energy
- Low emissions technologies
- Water and wastewater reuse and treatment technologies
- Waste management, recycling and 'waste' utilisation
- Demand side management for energy, water and other resources
Economically viable products, services and processes that harness renewable materials and energy sources, dramatically reduce the use of natural resources and cut or eliminate emissions and wastes.
