South Australian based SeaLink Travel Group Limited (ASX:SLK) has expanded its Sydney Harbour fleet through buying two vessels for $6 million.
The ferry and tourism group says both high speed vessels can carry up to 300 passengers and are very adept at moving large crowds efficiently.
The ferries will be used by SeaLink’s Captain Cook Cruises to supply new routes and respond to growing demand for services on Sydney Harbour.
Managing Director Jeff Ellison says SeaLink is confident in its ability to win new contracts on Sydney Harbour and keen to support the development of the Barangaroo waterfront precinct.
SeaLink Travel Group reported a net profit of $7.23 million in the 2014 financial year.
