News: Caravel Minerals targets bulk copper-molybdenum in Western Australia

Caravel Minerals (ASX:CVV) has started up to 9,000 metres of reverse circulation drilling at the Calingiri copper-molybdenum project in Western Australia.

This is a key part of its strategy to establish a large bulk tonnage copper-molybdenum project at Calingiri.

Two rigs are being used for the program, which seeks to establish new Exploration Targets, extend the current Exploration Target at the Bindi prospect and delineate potential zones of higher grade copper-molybdenum mineralisation.

Drilling has commenced with one rig currently operating at the Ninan target, located at the northern end of the 30 kilometres mineralised trend at Calingiri.

The drilling will test a clearly defined 1500m long target zone located immediately along strike to the south from where previous explorers intersected both Dasher-style mineralisation and high-grade supergene copper mineralisation.

Drilling is also underway at the new Chitty target, located between the Dasher and Bindi Exploration Targets where previous aircore drilling intersected anomalous copper-molybdenum values and where geological interpretation has indicated the presence of Dasher-Bindi style host gneiss rock.
