A friend of mine is curious as to why it's yellow and not blue as is typically associated with pure methane flares. I honestly don't know. He said it may indicate heavies in the gas, which is possible at this depth - CSG is normally pure methane but at thermogenic depths it can include significant heavier hydrocarbons. Which if true could be good news.

But at least it's there, water flow rates are good and showing no signs of decline and saturation at 90% is beyond everybody's wildest expectations - especially when they were suggesting 30% saturation just a few short months ago. It's ironic how often STX has got it completely wrong but it's turned out for the best!

Anyway, if these water rates are coming from the coals and saturation is truly 90%, that flare should increase sharply over the next few months.
