"but didn't he indicate this was the aim (for good or worse) - that Hills was to become a "technology" company"
Hey cabbie, Hills owned most of these companies well before Ted took the lead.
Anyone reading the press would think that Ted has transformed the company into an Information Tech company.
What he has done is got rid of everything else except the technology companies that HIL already owned.
A couple of small bolt on acquisitions which appear to be now under performing under Teds guise, interesting to see what life is left in Ted and his Team??
Cabbie, go through all the companies / divisions that HIL already owned before Ted arrived
Direct Alarm Supplies, SVL, Pacific Communications, Antenna & TV Systems, OPS Systems, LAN1.
THese technology businesses were already within HIL, so what actual value has he offered besides the restructure and cost cutting??
The market isnt pricing HIL favourably, thats for sure!!
Cheers
