Worth considering the outstanding short positions in terms of average market volume.

BDR - short position = 56.088m, ave mkt volume = c. 4m, short position is equiv to c. 14 days

For KCN it is equivalent to c. 25 days

For RRL it is equiv to c. 18 days

For MML it is equiv to c. 7 days.

Which begs the question as to what level the share prices will be impacted by the closure of all these short positions bearing in mind that other hedge funds, et al, will also be aware of the vulnerability of the shorts to rising bids.
