I'm afraid I'm with Joe here vendor, I've never heard of it in my 25 years as an employer. It would follow that an employee on a weekly wage should be payed at lunch time on Wednesday for that Monday to Friday. In reality they (including me) are paid 1 day after the work period is complete. Two weeks in arrears is absolutely standard practice in any industry I've encountered. Monthly is rare for blue collar workers as it can be a burden to stretch that through a month if your a little hand to mouth.
