I know some people on HC go around looking for 0.1c share price company to buy. They don't know anything about the company nor how many shares on issue, but hoping to get lucky (ie next increment up is 0.2c from 0.1c, so 50% return).
IMHO ASX should really force companies trading below 0.5c to have 10:1 share consolidation to put gamblers out of business.
