Whoever came up with the Cooper strategy for Magnum needs to be sacked. Lets not forget, Magnum could have farmed into AQO directly, and much more cheaply, before going the circuitous route of taking a position in NSE and NSE farming into AQO. It also leaves DLS - should its takeover now proceed - with an asset they have to wait for NSE to come up with the money They also need to hope that Magnum don't stick around on the AQO register and make things difficult.
What a mess.
Tempted to sell on market, but have the nagging suspicion that Magnum are sitting their sucking up all the stock, only to raise their offer down the track.
I will probably send in my DLS acceptance form today as DSL might let their own offer expire if both DLS and Magnum are settling in to play the long game.
