When I looked up the Antofagasta JV tenement on KI, it seemed it was everything except the Parndana area. I suspect that is why they pulled out of the rest.
Because that Parndana area was always 100% Monax, it appears to me that someone in the company always thought there was a major system there somewhere, they just didn't know where to drill.
Now they know, and it's either major or a duster.
In last years Monax releases, KI almost never gets a mention. Even in the Dec quarterly, you can clearly see that the Parndana tenement belonged to Monax with all the surrounding areas JV or alliance ground.
To me it seemed the gravity survey carried out in March was a last ditch effort to see if they relinquished the tenement or not. There was no prior announcement about doing it. It was also the only area left to look. I also get the feel that the sudden rush to look there, means they have high hopes (but I'm told all geologists are eternal optimists).
