R15, my computer used to freeze all the time in HC but now it hums along. The new HC is much the same but the features added makes posting easier but will take some time to get the most out of it. Fortunately us GGE's have got heeps and heeps of patience
Jeremy's post was challenging which was good as it made me think. I have always wondered where we would be today had the Blowout not occurred and also without the Sinkhole. Both were major setbacks and whilst sp disappointing we have all good insight to O&G generally and the time it takes to build something of value. All companies have setbacks but how they deal with the setbacks tells a lot about the mgt and likelihood to recover. That knowledge we have gained here can be easily transferred to other other O&G stocks and I believe each of us would likely do things differently in hindsight and in future.
When the sector turns (imo it's a cycle so it will one day) there are many oilers that are likely to be re-rated so finding them while we wait and understanding where they are at in their cycle is my current goal, just hope they don't all go up on the same day!
Desiree has now been producing for 11 mths, GGE WI cost was around $1.2m, net receipts today are around $2.8m and by my calc's from Sonris data the well has averaged 376 bbls/day (132 for GGE) and paid itself off quickly. If Louise one day replicates we will have something more interesting to discuss
