'no mgt or business presence in Aust," -----------------------------------------------------------
If they take over the company they will
*************** L/B has no mgt or business presence in Aust - now.
and just because they might buy all the shares in Aust, does not mean that all the mgt experience will want to stay and work for L/B. And if all the experienced WCL mgt walk, then maybe a WCL wholly owned by the Chinese simply then won't have a business either?
Given that this is a Hostile bid, then L/B most certainly will not have the ability to try and "handcuff" the current mgt of WCL.
And from what I hear, L/B is run by the Owner. He has been doing all the negotiating.
So how many posters here can envisage the difference between working for a public, and open workplace, to that of working for a private, probably undemocratic workplace, with foreign ideas, different culture and work practices?
Totally different.
No WCL Mgt= no business imo.
L/B is going to have to turn this hostile bid, into a negotiated takeover. The first thing that needs to happen is a fair and reasonable Offer.
cheers
PS - the $20m odd cash which WCL has on hand, cannot be used to fund any part of the L/B bid.
cheers
