Does anyone have any pointers on what are good results for
sulfide floatation and cyanide residency times.
I assume the shorter the better but I have seem some widely varying results and am not sure if they are "ok" or not.
For example one company mentioned they floated off 90% of the available "recovery" (total recovery 93%) in the first 5 minutes which seems bloody good. But is that actually good or not?
As an example of gold processing, one company has a residency of 48hrs (for stated reovery) where as another gets to its stated recovery (both over 90%) in 4 hours (I think).
My assumption is that these aspects of the met work have a big impact on the CAPEX and a reasonable effect of the OPEX.
I am not too sure on the OPEX though.
My though was the lower the residency or float time, the more ore you can process within a fixed period of time. Or are these aspects not too important as they are only a minor part of the CAPEX and OPEX anyway??
